Dr. Randy Aronson

DrRandy_About-UsDr. Randy Aronson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980 after being awarded the top honor of his class, the Leonard Pearson prize. He completed a rotating internship at the small animal hospital in medicine and surgery in 1981.

Dr. Aronson started the Animal Care Center of Green Valley in 1984 and sold it to his partner in 2005. P.A.W.S. Veterinary Center, his current practice he started with his wife, Dr. Geren Thurston, in 2008. In 2011 they won the American Animal Hospital Practice of the Year award and the Veterinary Economics Merit hospital winner award. In 2015 P.A.W.S. was nominated and a Finalist in the Pet Plan Awards for Practice of the Year. Dr Randy was one of only 3 Finalists from the U.S.A and Canada.

Dr. Aronson utilizes an integrative approach to his diagnostics and therapies, this combines the best of Western or allopathic medicine with holistic modalities. He completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society’s acupuncture course, numerous Chinese herbal courses, and many traditional Chinese medicine and nutrition programs and is certified by the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to perform physical therapy in cats and dogs.

For over 10 years Dr Randy hosted The Radio Pet Vet an integrative call-in program that was broadcast live in southern Arizona. Listeners have participated from all over the world calling in as well as emailing their questions. Dr. Aronson is a professional member of the National Speakers Association and is a keynote speaker and lecturer. Recently he has been speaking to the students of veterinary schools about utilizing integrative approaches in every day veterinary medicine.

In 2016 Dr Randy expanded his sights to assist more people with their Pets and launched Digital with his website and live streaming.

Dr. Aronson also writes a number of articles yearly and is a regular columnist where he has a question and answer feature and focuses on adding holistic ideas to allopathic medicine cases.
